15-Minute Creamy Tomato Tortellini

Refrigerated tortellini is one of the most underrated convenience foods available. It cooks in three minutes and is structurally designed to hold sauce. This cream tomato sauce takes less time than the pasta and is good enough to serve to people you're trying to impress.

What You Need

  • 9oz refrigerated cheese tortellini
  • 1 can crushed tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • parmesan for serving

How to Make It

    Cook tortellini according to package directions. Drain and set aside.

    While the tortellini cooks, sauté garlic in olive oil over medium heat until golden, about 2 minutes. Add crushed tomatoes and simmer 5 minutes, breaking them up with a spoon.

    Pour in cream and simmer 2 more minutes until the sauce thickens slightly and turns a pale orange. Season with salt. Toss with the drained tortellini and serve immediately with parmesan.
