15-Minute Garlic Shrimp Over Rice
This is a weeknight weapon. The kind of dinner that looks like you tried when you barely did. Shrimp cook fast, garlic and butter make everything taste like a restaurant, and rice from a rice cooker or a microwave bag handles itself.
What You Need
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 tablespoons butter
- juice of 1 lemon
- cooked rice for serving

Pat shrimp completely dry with paper towels. Season generously with salt and pepper.

Melt butter in a wide skillet over high heat. Add garlic and cook 30 seconds — just until fragrant. Add shrimp in a single layer and don't touch them for 90 seconds.

Flip and cook another 60 seconds until just opaque. Squeeze lemon over the pan, toss everything together, and serve immediately over rice.
