- 1 baguette, or ciabatta loaf
- 1/2 cup salted butter, softened
- 6 cloves garlic, minced or grated
How to Make It

Preheat broiler to high with a rack 6 inches under. Split the baguette lengthwise and place cut-side up on a sheet pan.

Mash butter and garlic together with a heavy pinch of salt. Spread thickly over both halves โ do not skimp.

Broil 3โ4 minutes, watching constantly, until the butter bubbles and the edges turn deep golden. Slice on a bias and serve immediately.
