5-Ingredient Black Bean Tacos
Black bean tacos are a weeknight solution masquerading as a recipe. The beans take five minutes to prepare, the whole thing comes together in one pan, and if you have decent tortillas and some lime you have a meal that's genuinely satisfying rather than just technically sufficient.
What You Need
- 2 cans black beans, drained
- 8 small corn or flour tortillas
- 2 teaspoons cumin
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 lime, cut into wedges
How to Make It
- 1
Heat a splash of oil in a pan over medium-high. Add black beans, cumin, smoked paprika, and a big pinch of salt. Cook 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the beans are hot and slightly crispy on the outside.
- 2
Warm tortillas directly over a gas flame or in a dry skillet until charred in spots.
- 3
Fill tortillas with beans and squeeze lime over everything. Add any toppings you have: sour cream, salsa, avocado, hot sauce, cheese.
