No vanilla, no baking soda, no creaming butter and sugar for five minutes. Just a bowl, a spoon, and chewy cookies on a sheet pan in twenty minutes. Ugly on paper. Beautiful on a plate.
What You Need
Serves
24
- 1 cup salted butter, melted
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups self-rising flour
- 2 cups chocolate chips
How to Make It
- 1
Preheat oven to 350°F. Whisk melted butter and brown sugar in a bowl until smooth. Whisk in eggs until glossy.
- 2
Stir in self-rising flour until just combined — do not overmix. Fold in chocolate chips.
- 3
Scoop heaping tablespoons onto a parchment-lined sheet, 2 inches apart. Bake 11–13 minutes until the edges are set but the centers still look underdone. Let cool on the pan 5 minutes before moving.
