No-Bake Energy Balls

Energy balls have a wellness-food reputation that undersells them. They're basically no-bake cookies in a more defensible shape. These ones take ten minutes to make, cost thirty cents each, and are genuinely better than any granola bar you'll buy. Make a batch on Sunday and they'll get you through the week.

What You Need

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 3 tablespoons chocolate chips

How to Make It

  1. 1

Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix until everything is evenly incorporated. The mixture should hold together when pressed — if it's too dry, add another tablespoon of peanut butter; if too wet, add more oats.

  2. 2

Refrigerate the mixture for 20 minutes — this makes it much easier to roll.

  3. 3

Roll into balls about the size of a walnut. Store in the fridge for up to a week.
